In a field of fierce competition, students from Reeds Spring High School and Table Rock Career Center showcased their expertise at the Ozark Science and Engineering Fair, held at Missouri State University. Their hard work and innovative research earned impressive recognition—three third-place awards and three honorable mentions!
3rd Place Entries
*Connor Love and Rielan Frisbie (not pictured) - Botany
They researched how to protect plants from the unwanted effects of the herbicide Roundup by treating the plants with a solution of Zinc Sulfate.
*Aubree Stuart and Elizabeth Inselman - Environmental Science
They detected microplastics in the soil.

They researched fruit fly genetics.

*Kadyn Colman and David Scott 3D printed and wrote the computer code for a device that emits light and sound waves on wounds to accelerate healing.

*Jaeydin Rozean researched deer bones to determine the age and health of the animal and how it can be applied to forensic science.
