Reeds Spring High School competes in boys basketball, girls basketball, and wrestling during the winter sports season.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Lady Wolves lost two games last week, falling to Forsyth 69-34, and losing to Clever 57-38.
BOYS BASKETBALL
The boys basketball team also dropped two games, losing to Forsyth 67-38, and to Summit Christian Academy 64-44. Taylor Calzaretta scored 20 points for the Wolves against Summit Christian.
GIRLS WRESTLING
The RSHS girls wrestling team competed in the Gem City Scramble in Diamond. Kierstin Allen placed second at 140 pounds and won three matches by pinfall. Ariah Brandsma finished fourth at 145 and Lindsey Keithley was 5th at 145. Bella Yartz was 5th at 170. In dual matches, RSHS lost to Logan-Rogersville, Marshfield, and McDonald County. Blaiklee Cagle had two pinfalls in those matches.
FOOTBALL RECOGNITION
Five Wolves were named to the Class 3 All-State Football Team. Congratulations to Caden Wiest, Moses Barr, Eben Crain, Josh Lowe, and Adam Lewis. Preston Blubaugh and James Dowdy were named Second-Team All-State.
