The Reeds Spring Wolves will play for the Class 3 football title on Saturday, December 3. RSHS defeated Sullivan 49-20 in the state semifinal on November 26.
“I'm so proud of everything that they've done this year,” said head coach Andy McFarland. “We got to this point for a reason. It was our kids being dedicated to making improvements and not being satisfied with the status quo.”
James Dowdy scored three touchdowns for the Wolves. Blandy Burall, Tracen Cobb, Adam Lewis, and Addison Abshire also scored touchdowns.
“I told them (the players) this is the first time in school history we've ever been there. Let's not be satisfied with just making it, let's go win,” McFarland said.\
The championship game will be played against the Cardinal Ritter Lions at the University of Missouri at 11:00 a.m. on December 3.
Tickets can only be purchased here. The cost is $10. Gates open at 10:00 a.m. Fans are asked to enter at Gates 1, 2E, and 4E on the north and east ends of the stadium. Reeds Spring will be seated on the west side of the stadium in sections 119-120.
