Every month, the Reeds Spring School District recognizes one exceptional teacher with an Excellence Award. October’s deserving winner is Ms. Lesley Reeves-Eakins. She teaches special education at RSHS.

“Lesley is an amazing teacher who goes above and beyond every day for her students,” said special education teacher Misti Langston. “She is highly respected and loved by her students and co-workers alike. Her caring and compassionate personality shines through daily and she always makes time for anyone in need. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and effortlessly makes all our jobs more enjoyable."

Reeves-Eakins has been with Reeds Spring Schools for seven years and has more than 30 years of experience teaching and coaching in Missouri and Tennessee.

According to RSHS Principal Dr. Isaac Sooter, “Lesley has always been a teacher I could count on to build upon the positive, enthusiastic and upbeat culture at RSHS. She does not beat around the bush and deals with issues directly. We are lucky to have Lesley at RSHS.”

The district accepts Excellence Award nominations from students, staff, parents, and community members. You can find the nomination form on the district website.
