preK students and teacher

Students in the Reeds Spring School District’s Pre-K classes can now attend free of charge.

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) awarded the district a 2024-2025 Missouri Quality PreKindergarten (MOQPK) Grant. This $390,000 grant covers tuition and meals for 60 four-year-old students, regardless of the family’s income status.

“Reeds Spring Primary School is thrilled to offer preschool education for every family in our community,” said Assistant Principal Tara Connors. “Extensive research underscores the significant impact that preschool education has on a child’s future academic success. Preschool sets children on a path toward lifelong achievement and well-being. Thanks to this grant, we are now positioned to extend these vital opportunities to more families than ever!”

Reeds Spring’s Pre-K program has room for more students. A child must have turned four years old on or before July 31. They must live in the Reeds Spring School District and complete a free developmental screener through our Parents as Teachers program.

Call 417-272-3761 to schedule a screening. We will enroll students on a first-come, first-served basis.
