The 9Fifty Low Profile hats were donated to the Branson/Lakes Area Tourism Community Enhancement District (BLA TCED) and the City of Branson by New Era Cap Company with the specific request that they go to the schools in the Branson/Lakes Area.

BLATCED Board of Directors and employees, City of Branson Mayor and Aldermen as well as members from the Explore Branson team from the Branson/Lakes Area CVB visited area schools on February 8 to assist in handing out the hats.

BLATCED Executive Director Kirk Elmquist said, "We had a great time with the kids and staff at these schools. It was quite a surprise when New Era Cap Company via the Kansas City Chiefs reached out to us to donate the one-of-a-kind hats. Our kids and educators enthusiastically embraced being recognized as part of the Chiefs Kingdom."

Dennis Wood, Stone County Representative to the BLATCED and Board Chairperson said, "The Branson/Lakes Area is the Official Vacation Destination of the Kansas City Chiefs, so out of market we have quite a lot of marketing driving visitation to the Branson/Lakes Area including a huge presence at Arrowhead stadium and a multitude of marketing programs including Chiefs media, outreach to the Chiefs fan base, as well as several components in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. It's an exciting partnership."

Wood also noted that "no taxpayer money was used in the gifting of the New Era Caps to our students and the gifting of the hats was not a part of the Chiefs partnership agreement."

New Era Cap Company has over a 100-year history in cutting-edge technology in performance hats for major league sports. The hats donated to the Branson/Lakes Area schools featured the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LVII Champions logo and are a part of the Locker Room 9Fifty series with the Low Profile Snapback Hat.

Representatives of the Branson/Lakes Area Schools shared multiple pictures and videos of the kids saying thanks and Go Chiefs!
