Every month, the Reeds Spring School District recognizes one exceptional teacher with an Excellence Award. December’s deserving winner is Ms. Lesley Reeves-Eakins, a special education teacher at Reeds Spring High School.
“In my first year as the principal, I instantly recognized her remarkable compassion for all students,” said Principal Brandon Weldy. “Lesley goes above and beyond, creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment while also holding students accountable for their learning. This award is a testament to her outstanding commitment to education, making a positive impact on the lives of her students every day.”
This is Reeves-Eakins’ eighth year with the district. One colleague called her inspiring.
“She builds long-lasting relationships with students,” said Misti Langston. “Lesley undoubtedly makes a positive difference every day!”
Reeves-Eakins was also recognized by the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce.
The district accepts Excellence Award nominations from students, staff, parents, and community members. You can find the nomination form on the district website.
