Every month, the Reeds Spring School District recognizes one exceptional teacher with an Excellence Award. November’s deserving winner is Mrs. April Fitzwater, the librarian and technology teacher at Reeds Spring Primary School.
“Mrs. Fitzwater’s love for teaching is evident. She builds strong relationships with her students and knows how to make learning fun and relevant,” said Primary School Principal Adria Simkins. “She brings a strong work ethic and positive attitude to everything she does. I am so grateful she is on the Primary School Team!”
This is Mrs. Fitzwater’s 13th year with the district. Colleagues describe her as accommodating.
“April will drop what she is doing to help us solve our problems,” said kindergarten teacher Callie Lewallen. “She is an advocate for teachers and their tech needs in the classroom.”
The district accepts Excellence Award nominations from students, staff, parents, and community members. You can find the nomination form on the district website.
The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce also recognized Mrs. Fitzwater at its November luncheon.
