Reeds Spring High School Class of 2023 graduates Will Foster and Meadow Phillips have earned scholarships that are worth up to $12,000 per year for up to five years.
These scholarships are from the rootEd Alliance, a national philanthropic organization dedicated to ensuring students in rural communities graduate on a path to achieve career success and economic stability. Only 32 students in Missouri received these scholarships.
“Congratulations to the recipients of this year’s rootEd Scholarships,” said rootEd Alliance President Noa Meyer. “Each of these students, selected from a competitive pool of applicants from across Missouri’s rural communities, showed incredible smarts, determination, and promise in their applications, and we are thrilled to support them in continuing their education at four-year colleges and universities.”
RSHS has a partnership with the rootED Alliance. The organization helps to provide some funding for the school’s Student Success Advisor, Paige Cyrus-Ham. She meets one-on-one with every RSHS senior to discuss post-secondary options and how to pay for continuing education.
