High school students who attend Gibson Technical Center will show that they are ready for the workforce by competing at the SkillsUSA Missouri State Leadership Conference. They qualified for state by placing in the top two at the district competition.
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and businesses working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. It is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Labor as a successful model of employer-driven youth development training.
There are both skills-based competitions and written tests. Here are the Gibson Tech state qualifiers:
